Abstract

James Franck was Professor Emeritus of Physical Chemistry at the University of Chicago (1938-1964). Other institutional affiliations included Johns Hopkins University and the University of Copenhagen. His research interests included quantum theory and for the quantum mechanical description of atoms and molecules.
