Biography

Abstract

Jerrold Zacharias was Professor of Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (1946-1966). Other institutional affiliations include Hunter College, Los Alamos Laboratory, and the President's Science Advisory Committee (PSAC). His research interests included molecular beam magnetic resonance, nuclear magnetic moments and electric quadrupole moments of various nuclei, hyperfine separation in atomic hydrogen, and atomic clocks.
