Abstract

Piermaria Oddone was Director of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (2005-2013). Other institutional affiliaions include Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and California Institute of Technology. His research interests include high energy physics. In 2005 he was awarded the American Physical Society's Panofsky Prize for his idea to use an Asymmetric B-Factory to carry out precision measurements of CP violation in B-meson decays.
