Biography

Abstract

Kenneth Bainbridge was a leader in the field of physics for his design and application of mass spectrographs as research tools for mass measurements. He built the first cyclotron at Harvard University, participated in the development of radar during World War II, and oversaw the test explosion of the first nuclear bomb at Alamogordo, New Mexico in July 1945.
