Biography

Abstract

Keith Brueckner made important contributions to physics including the many-body theory in condensed matter physics. In 1959, he became a professor at the University of California, San Diego. He was the first chair of the university's physics department and he was also the inaugural director of the Institute for Radiation Physics and Aerodynamics.
