Erwin Schrödinger was awarded the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physics with Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac "for the discovery of new productive forms of atomic theory." Schrodinger worked at many institutions throughout his career, including University of Vienna, University of Zurich, the Friedrich Wilhelm University of Berlin, University of Oxford, and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Dublin, Ireland. His scientific interests and works cover a wide range of subjects, but he is perhaps best known for Schrödinger’s Wave Equation and his thought experiment known as "Schrödinger's cat."
