Abstract

Bertrand Halperin is the Hollis Professor of Mathematics and Natural Philosophy at Harvard University. His other institutional affiliations include University of California at Berkeley and Bell Laboratories. He received the American Physical Society's Lars Onsager Prize in 2001.
