Biography

Abstract

Bargmann was born in Germany, immigrated to the United States, served as a staff member at the Institute of Advanced Study, Princeton, and was professor of mathematics and physics at Princeton (1948-1976). His subject interests included quantum theory, relativity, and group theory.
