Biography

Abstract

Bruce Tarter was Director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (1994-2002). His research interests include theoretical description of the properties of matter at high temperatures and densities; and theoretical astrophysics, particularly quasars, x-ray sources and stellar evolution.
