Abstract

The Research and Development Center was created in 1965 when the Research Laboratory and the Advanced Technology Laboratory were merged. Corporate interests included: broadcasting; electric components; household appliances; lighting equipment; motors; telecommunications; electromedical industry. In 1999, with the opening of a research center in India, the name was changed to GE Global Research.
