Abstract

General Electric Company's Research Laboratory was founded in 1900 before being renamed the General Electric Research and Development Center in August 1965 when the Research Laboratory and Advanced Technology Laboratory were merged. Corporate interests include: broadcasting; electric components; household appliances; lighting equipment; motors; telecommunications; electromedical industry.
