Abstract

Jabez Curry Street was Emeritus Mallinckrodt Professor of Physics at Harvard University (1976-1989). Other institutional affiliations include the MIT Radiation Laboratory, where, during World War II, he contributed to the development of RADAR and LORAN. His research in cosmic rays influenced the course of high-energy physics, and he had a part in the identification of the new fundamental particle known as muons.
