Biography

Abstract

Nicolaas Bloembergen is a Dutch-American physicist, who shared the 1981 Nobel Prize in Physics with Arthur Schawlow and Kai Siegbahn. His research interests include nuclear and electronic magnetic resonance; solid state masers and lasers; nonlinear optics; and spectroscopy.
