Abstract

Pierre Curie was a nuclear physicist at the École municipale de physique et de chimie industrielles (Municipal School of Industrial Physics and Chemistry), Paris, France. He along with Henri Becquerel and his wife Marie Curie were awarded the 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics "in recognition of the extraordinary services they have rendered by their joint researches on the radiation phenomena discovered by Professor Henri Becquerel."
