Born 1931. Ph.D. in physics, University of Utah, 1961. Joined faculty at Brigham Young University in 1960 and served as department chair from 1979 to 1988. Areas of research included ultra-high pressure solid state physics, high temperature superconductors, and other phenomena. Retired in 1998.
