This interview focuses on his career in holography and the evolution and interactions of Ann Arbor institutions developing holography, including Willow Run Laboratories, Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) and the General Dynamics Corporation.
Aleksoff studied electrical engineering and physics at the University of Michigan during the early 1960s, where he became involved in modern optics, particularly early holography and optical image processing. He continued in this field throughout his career, successively at the Willow Run Laboratories and their successors the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) and General Dynamics.
