Unpublished papers consisting primarily of speeches and proposals on organizational problems of science, laboratory notebooks, and reprints of papers by Kapitsa and other physicists. The main correspondents are Ernest Rutherford, Paul Ehrenfest, Niels Bohr, Max Born, Otto Stern, John Douglas Cockroft, Paul A. M. Dirac, Nikolai N. Semenov, Ivan V. Obreimov; the Royal Society of London, and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Also contains many letters to Soviet political leaders such as Stalin, Molotov, and others. Kapitsa usually kept copies of his outgoing letters.
