Biographical Note

A magazine for the physics community published since 1948 by the American Institute of Physics, PHYSICS TODAY brings to physicists articles on current issues and physics education, reports on meetings, book reviews, and news of research programs and professional activities.

Scope and Contents of Collection

Set of files collected and curated by Bertram Schwarzschild for his work at Physics Today magazine for announcing and profiling Nobel winners in physics, chemistry, and medicine. Files can include correspondence, annotated reprints, interview notes, and rough drafts of articles. Collection also includes a set of audio cassette tapes with a subset of the Nobel Prize winners written about in the paper files. Winners covered include: Allan M. Cormack, Godfrey N.
