The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is a not-for-profit membership corporation chartered in New York State in 1931 for the purpose of promoting the advancement and diffusion of the knowledge of physics and its application to human welfare. Its members are leading societies in the fields of physics and astronomy, and its activities include providing services to its member societies in publishing, finance, and education. The responsibility of this office is to collect, analyze and disseminate data on education and employment in physics and related fields.
The collection contains miscellaneous publications printed by the American Institute of Physics' Statistical Research Center for the public, and includes numbered publications and statistical survey results. Includes publications from when it was formerly known as the Education and Employment Statistical Division. Focus On reports (2009-2014) available online.
