Historical Note

The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is a not-for-profit membership corporation chartered in New York State in 1931 for the purpose of promoting the advancement and diffusion of the knowledge of physics and its application to human welfare. Its members are leading societies in the fields of physics and astronomy, and its activities include providing services to its member societies in publishing, finance, and education. The responsibility of this office is to serve the career needs of physics-educated individuals.

Scope and Contents of Collection

This collection contains miscellaneous publications printed by the American Institute of Physics Career Services Division for the public, and include brochures, workshop materials, information on the Placement Service of the division and copies of their Career Opportunities newsletter (1994-1998).
