The working papers of the journal during the period when Alexander J. Dessler (Space Science Department, Rice University) was associate editor and later co-editor (1964-1970). Included is correspondence between Dessler and writers of articles, referees, other editors. A folder for each article accepted or rejected for publication was usually prepared and assigned a number; this internal organization has been preserved. Included in the first box of the collection are a log book (1965-1967), a chronological letter files (1965-1966) and an index file for papers received (1967-1969).
