Hopper, Grace Murray.
Grace Murray Hopper papers, 1944-1965.
This collection includes technical notes, operating instructions and descriptions of projects which Hopper participated in at Harvard during and after World War II and later in the private sector. The projects involved creation of the Navy's Mark I, II, and II "mechnaical calculators" (Forerunner of today's computer) and the UNIAC and ENIAC civilian models. Many photographs of equipment and of Hopper and her colleagues are included. There are numerous publisher articles and memoranda by Hopper and others on technical aspects of computers. Newspaper and periodical clippings and periodicals and brochures give technical information on computers. A "humor file" contains jokes and anecdotes collected by Hopper.
