The materials bulk largest in the 1960s and 1970s when Commoner gained his reputation as "the Paul Revere of ecology" by calling attention to the impending environmental crisis. The collection includes extensive materials from the Committee for Nuclear Information (later the Committee on Environmental Information) and its work on radioactive fallout.
