Braham talks about his early life and education, his experiences during World War II as a meteorologist and pilot, and his research in weather modification. He also comments on his meetings with William von Arx and Thomas F. Malone, members of the committee staff, University Committee on Atmospheric Research that assisted in writing the "Blue Book" (Preliminary Plans for a National Institute for Atmospheric Research); his early ideas about NCAR; goals for NCAR's future; and his current thoughts regarding NCAR's interactions with universities.
