The Chilean Academy of Sciences (Academia Chilena de Ciencias) is a constituent academy of the Institute of Chile (Instituto de Chile), which was founded in 1964. The Institute promotes cultural, humanistic and scientific studies. Other divisions include: Chilean Academy of Language, Chilean Academy of History, Chilean Academy of Social, Political and Moral Sciences, Chilean Academy of Medicine, and Chilean Academy of Fine Arts.
