The papers consist of correspondence, research materials for articles and lectures, teaching materials related to Yale University and the University of Miami, and citations for awards received by Lars Onsager, notably the Nobel Prize in 1968.
Lars Onsager was a chemist and university professor. He taught at Johns Hopkins University in 1928; at Brown University, 1928-1933; and at Yale University, 1933-1972. Onsager was the winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1968. He was the recipient of numerous awards and honorary degrees, and the author of many articles.
