Oral history interview with Eugene Paul Wigner, 1987 May 12.
Wigner talks about his association with John von Neumann during their school years in Hungary. He discusses their graduate work in Berlin and their simultaneous appointments to Princeton in 1930, von Neumann's contribution to the theory of quantum mechanics, Wigner's own interest in this area, and von Neumann's interest in the application of theory to the atomic bomb project.
