Weeks, Dorothy Walcott, 1893-1990.
Dorothy Walcott Weeks response to 1988 History of Nuclear Physics Survey, 1988.
A bound, unpublished memoir entitled "Fun On the Fringes" covering Weeks' undergraduate training at Wellesley College, her graduate work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her teaching at Wilson College, her work during the Second World War at the Office of Scientific Research and Development under Vannevar Bush, and her later work at the Ordnance Materials Research Office. The memoir also covers a great deal of her personal life: her reflections on working in a male-dominated field; her relationship with the American Association of University Women; and reflections on teaching, travel, business as opposed to the academic world, mountain climbing, and retirement.
