William R. MacLean papers.
Collection contains reprints, autographs, notebooks, course notes, vitae, and a scrapbook. Topics include: mathematics, electromagnetic theory, microwaves, electronics, vacuum tubes, electron optics, quantum theory, gas pipes and acoustics. There are also some file folders with professors' names on them, such as Kenneth Clarke, (Professor in P.I.B. Department of Physics), Hochstadt, (chairman of Department of Mathematics at P.I.B.), Walter Kahn (of P.I.B.) and Foster (former head of Department of Mathematics at P.I.B.) and some marked American Institute of Physics. There are also nine folders pertain to the "Germanic Project", which involved "inventing" a hypothetical substance and working out the physics and mathematics of it.
