Lloyd Godfrey Mann response to 1988 History of Nuclear Physics Survey, 1988-1989.
Handwritten completed survey of personal data, list of publications, and a twelve-page response to questionnaire describing his scientific education, including graduate studies at the University of Illinois, work at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory on circularly-polarized gamma-ray measurement in the 1950s and 1960s; direction of a group which operated the Livermore pool-type reactor in the 1970s; and other work at Livermore. Recipients were asked to discuss their entry into a scientific career in general and nuclear physics in particular, their scientific achievements, the funding of their projects, the roles of related sciences in their research, their work as educators, and their involvement in physics-related organizations.
