Truesdell, C. (Clifford), 1919-2000
Clifford Truesdell autobiography, 1978.
An autobiography in the form of a letter to Fred Kelly of The Baltimore Sun. Truesdell has little to say about his work in rational mechanics, rheology, or mathematics, but devotes most of his letter to his interest in art and art history, his mother's and grandparents' roles in his life, and some discussion of his travels and enjoyment of mathematics. This account in some ways picks up where the reminiscences of his mother Helen Truesdell Heath and high school teacher Lucy Adams leave off. File also includes a curriculum vitae, bibliography, reports, correspondence, and clippings.
