This report, No. ATR-68 (9990)-4, issued in March 1968, describes the scientific activities and accomplishments of the Space Physics Laboratory of the Aerospace Corporation during its first seven years. Research described includes atmospheric studies based on satellite measurements; laboratory measurements of atmospheric properties in the vacuum ultraviolet and the far infrared; studies of the rates of atmospheric reactions; as well as a ground-based program of investigation of the solar magnetic field and chromospheric activity.
