Three glimpses of Albert Abraham Michelson at the peak of his career [motion picture] / assembled and edited by the staff of the Michelson Museum at the Naval Ordnance Test Station.
Filmclips and stills illustrating the career of Albert Abraham Michelson prepared for the 50th Anniversary Historical Exhibition of the Optical Society of America meeting held in March 1966. It includes footage from a 1928 "Movietone News" interview at Ryerson Laboratory, University of Chicago, in which Michelson describes his three important research programs: measurement of the velocity of light; measurement of the diameter of stars; and confirmation of Einstein's theory of relativity. It also includes newsreel footage taken in 1929 at Arcadia, California showing a candid glimpse of Michelson demonstrating equipment used in preliminary tests to measure the velocity of light.
