Kemeny entered Princeton as an undergraduate in February 1943. He describes undergraduate mathematics courses, and he talks about Fine Hall, fellow students(including Stan Ulam), and about contacts between the University's mathematics dept. and the School of Mathematics of the Institute for Advanced Study. Kemeny talks about John von Neumann and, at some length, about Kurt Gd̲el, and Tucker talks about Alan Turing. Kemeny tells how he became interested in computing.
