Correspondence largely devoted to various campaigns for raising money in order to obtain radium for Madame Curie to continue her experiments, and details of the arrangements for her to visit the United States to solicit funds in person. Also, many documents and manuscripts concerning Madame Curie and her work; photographs and printed materials; one box (with list) of reprints and articles by Frederic and Irene Joliot-Curie; and letters to Marie M. Meloney from Irene Joliot-Curie, Marie Curie, and Jean Jules Jusserand, and a letter from Arthur Brisbane to the Marie Curie Fund.
Mrs. Meloney (Marie Mattingly Meloney) was editor of the HERALD TRIBUNE SUNDAY MAGAZINE.
