George Washington Pierce papers, 1898-1964.
Includes correspondence with patent attorneys and others, concerning patent difficulties and routine matters, and related material, such as patents, legal briefs and memoranda of agreement. Other papers include financial records, chiefly records of royalties and personal account books, and correspondence about Harvard research, publications, and work with Lee de Forest, regarding height of reflecting layer in atmosphere, with related notes and drafts of research fellow, John A. Pierce. Also some manuscript notes and drafts of G.W. Pierce, concerning electric waves, are included in the papers. Related publications and reference material also available in repository.
Pierce graduated from Harvard in 1899 and taught physics and communication engineering at Harvard.
