Charles P. Boner papers, 1918-1979.
The bulk of the collection consists of approximately 650 photographs documenting Boner's acoustical consulting. Also included are biographical articles, clippings, and reprints.
Boner was a member of the University of Texas Physics Department (1920-1970), founded the Defense Research Laboratory (now the Applied Research Laboratories), served in several University of Texas and University of Texas System administrative positions, and operated, with his sons, an accoustical consulting firm which contributed to the accoustical design of numerous public buildings. Boner's consulting work was based on his research on feedback in sound systems.
