Papers dealing almost exclusively with Fermi's professional career in the United States since 1938, including scientific correspondence, experimental notebooks, academic papers, and patent claims. His academic records pertain only to his tenure at the University of Chicago (1944-1954), and a large proportion of his professional papers concern research done at that institution.
