Sloan Foundation and The Ford Foundation, present as part of its course in Physics the film, "Matter Waves", with Alan Holden and Lester H. Germer, Bell Telephone Laboratories. The film featurees Alan Holden as the speaker/narrator talking about the general topic of matter waves. A segment of the film is dedicated to Lester H. Germer at Bell Telephone Laboratories who discusses his with with Clinton Joseph Davisson relative to the wave nature of matter. Germer demonstrates, using more advanced equipment than his original apparatus, the diffraction of electrons by crystals and how he measures electron diffraction.
