Osgood, Sabin), B.A. 1899; mathematical physics; Yale University, Ph.D., 1901; to cole normale supřieur as postgraduate (Henri Poincar,̌ Picard); Willard Gibbs; understanding quantum theory (Max Planck, Lord Kelvin). Teaches in Yale Mathematics Department, 1903-1907; to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1907; teaches courses in special relativity (G. N.
