Percy Williams Bridgman papers, 1905-1982.
Includes professional and research correspondence files with some personal correspondence; student course material; manuscripts and notes of Bridgman's writings; research laboratory notebooks; and reports. General correspondence relates to his research, such as experiments on crystal cylinders, work for Los Alamos in 1943 to 1945, and procurement of specimens of chemicals and metals for testing; to publication of Logic of Modern Physics, Sophisticate's Primer of Relativity, and Dimensional Analysis; and to his involvement with professional societies, journals and companies. Course materials, 1902-1906, include student notes and problems for physics and mathematics courses Bridgman took at Harvard. Also research laboratory notebooks, 1905-1956, pertaining to his work on pressure effects; data, computations, graphs, notes and manuscripts relating to other scientific work on crystals, sound, and compression; and materials from symposium in 1982 on Bridgman.
