Nobel prize in physics [motion picture] / filmed by Swedish Broadcasting Corporation.
Informal interviews, made for Swedish television, with the three recipients of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1972: John Bardeen, Leon Cooper, and J. Robert Schrieffer. The film shows each of them in their home setting and then meeting together at the University of Illinois where they discuss their collaboration which resulted in the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer Theory of Superconductivity. They describe the development of the theory in 1956, the benefits and future uses they foresee, Bardeen's mentoring influence on the project, and their reactions to winning the Nobel Prize.
