Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell is a British astrophysicist from Northern Ireland. She completed her graduate studies at the University of Cambridge. Burnell has taught at University of Southampton, University College London, Open University, University of Bath, and University of Oxford. She is known for the discovery of radio pulsars in 1967.
