John W. Negele is Professor of Physics, Emeritus, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed his graduate studies in theoretical physics at Cornell University and a postdoctoral appointment at the Niels Bohr Institute of the University of Copenhagen. Negele's research interests have included many-body theory, density functional theory, and lattice QCD.
