This collection consists of a cassette recording of a speech by Thomas H. Osgood (physicist) concerning his years with Ernest Rutherford as a research assistant, 1923-1925. The tape also contains an introduction on Osgood's academic career by Richard Schlegel. The recording was made on June 1, 1978.
British-American physicist. Ph.D., University of Cambridge (1927). Professional experience includes: professor and chair of the Department of Physics, director of the Mathematics and Physical Sciences division, dean of the School of Advanced Graduate Studies, director of the Abrams Planetarium, Michigan State College (1941-1969).
