Included in this collection are collected articles, booklets, manuals and reports of early atomic technology. Contents include personal documents, a certificate for participation in the Manhattan Project, booklets and manuals obtained throughout studies and career, including those from the Atomic Energy Comission and Argonne National Liboratory.
Dr. Harvey Casson was a physicist and atomic scientist. Born in 1922, he graduated from Brooklyn College in 1942. He earned a PhD degree in Physics in 1952. During his time at the University of Chicago, Casson participated in the Manhattan Project that developed the first successful atomic bomb. Following his graduation, he started his research career in Argonne National Laboratory, which continued for over 30 years.
