General Electric Nuclear Energy Standard Safety Analysis reports collection, 1994.
The GE Nuclear Energy Standard Safety Analysis Reports Collection, 1994, contains large oversized books documenting standard safety analyses of nuclear power plants. The reports consist mostly of diagrams of various buildings and nuclear systems. Two of the six volumes in the collection are unbound.
GE built its first Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR), a Generation III boiling water reactor, at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Japan in 1992 and 1993, however approval had not yet been granted for energy contracts in the United States. The work detailed in these volumes eventually allowed GE to get their final design for the Advanced Boiling Water Reactor approved by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 1997.
