Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility Activities Group records, 1986-present.
The Run-A-Round is an annual event designed to promote health, wellness, and fitness within the lab's community. Employees and family members are invited to walk or run the approximately one-and-a-half mile route through the lab's campus. As a part of the event, employees are invited to design a t-shirt to be distributed to participants of the Run-A-Round. All designed are anonymously presented to the lab community for voting and the winning design and designer(s) are revealed just before the start of the race. This collection includes those t-shirts.
The Jefferson Laboratory of the College of William and Mary is located in Newport News, Virginia and is home to the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, an underground high-tech machine nearly a mile around. Before being renamed in 1996, the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility was known as the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF).
