Catherine Westfall papers, 1981-1994.
Dr. Catherine Westfall's research is included within this collection. She has also conducted interviews of key people in the development and building of the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF, later the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility). The oral histories collection is contained within the digital collections of the Lab's Records Management servers; transcriptions of interviews are also available. Also included in this collection is correspondence between Dr. Westfall and interviewees who were instrumental in the development of CEBAF as well as drafts and handwritten notes. Invoices and contract modifications are included as well. Interviewees and correspondents include Franz Gross, Hermann Grunder, Harry Holmgren, Nathan Isgur, James McCarthy, and Hans von Baeyer.
American historian. Consultant historian at Jefferson Lab in the 1990s and since 2012. Starting in 2008 she also taught at Lyman Briggs College, Michigan State University.
