An autobiography of Dick's life in which he discusses his ancestry, family life, education at Indiana University, his work as an astronomer and historian of science at the United States Naval Observatory and NASA, and his life since retirement. Appendices include interviews, diary entries, a congressional testimony, speeches, and curriculum vitae. Personal photographs are included in the text.
Steve Dick is an American astronomer and historian of science known for his work in the astrobiology field. Dick served as the NASA Chief Historian and Director of the NASA History Office as well as an astronomer and historian of science at the U.S. Naval Observatory. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University in 1971 and 1977.
